I already have a fire extinguisher at home, but I wanted this fire blanket for extra protection. I plan to use it first for small fires, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll use the extinguisher. The blanket is fire-resistant up to 1022°F, measures 40”x40”, and comes folded in a durable 8”x12.5” plastic bag with a hanging hole. The Velcro-sealed bottom has two tapes for easy access—just pull the tapes, unfold the blanket, and cover the flames. It’s lightweight, easy to store in the kitchen, and simple to use without special skills. I also appreciate that it’s non-chemical, emits no harmful fumes, and is reusable. While I haven’t had to use it yet, I believe it’s effective and worth the small cost for peace of mind.
